Learning Made Radical was created from a love of teaching, creating, and finding meaningful ways to help students practice math.
My goal is to help teachers spend less time searching for resources and more time focusing on their students. I create engaging, CCSS-aligned middle school math resources that are clear, flexible, print-ready, and easy to use.
You’ll find a variety of resources, including interactive notes, bookmark notes, partner activities, mazes, riddles, color-by-number activities, task cards, games, hole punch activities, and more. These resources are designed to support practice, review, stations, small groups, homework, intervention, and enrichment.
I enjoy creating materials that give students different ways to interact with math while also giving teachers practical resources they can use again and again.
Experience
I have been in education for close to 18 years, with experience teaching middle school math in grades 6–8 and Algebra 1 in both in-person and virtual settings. I have also created CCSS-aligned math curriculum for grades 3–12.
Over the years, I have worked with students in a variety of learning environments and have seen how important it is to have resources that are clear, engaging, flexible, and ready to use.
During my time in the classroom, our math department went through major curriculum changes as we developed new CCSS-aligned materials for multiple grade levels. We did not rely on a traditional textbook, so I learned quickly how valuable it was to find, adapt, and create resources that truly supported students.
That experience helped shape Learning Made Radical. What started as creating materials for my own students has grown into a collection of math resources designed to save teachers time while giving students meaningful opportunities to practice, review, and build confidence.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is interactive, student-centered, and built around active learning. I enjoy using stations, task cards, partner activities, group work, games, and movement-based practice to keep students engaged while strengthening their understanding.
I also value purposeful technology integration and enjoy adding digital tools when they support learning, increase participation, or help students make meaningful connections.
I believe students learn in different ways, so I try to create resources that provide multiple opportunities to practice and interact with a concept.
Why Learning Made Radical?
Learning Made Radical began in 2015 as a way for me to continue creating and sharing resources with other educators.
The name also has a personal connection to my family. The initials LMR were inspired by the first names of my three children, making Learning Made Radical meaningful to me from the very beginning.
Over the years, my experience in education has continued to grow, but the purpose behind Learning Made Radical has stayed the same: creating practical, engaging math resources that help teachers save time and support student learning.
Favorite Teaching Moments
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching a student finally understand a concept they have struggled with.
Seeing confidence grow and watching that moment when something finally clicks is one of the reasons I love education. Those moments are also a big part of why I create resources that give students opportunities to practice concepts in approachable and engaging ways.
